I need a quick and easy “summer” recipe for a get together my friends are hosting. (a house warming party) They asked that we bring a dish and the recipe (recipes will be added to their new home’s cookbook as a house warming gift). And because it is a BBQ i think many people will bring “grilling” recipes i would like to bring something that won’t need to take up space on the grill that maybe already over flowing with meat. Any ideas for a side dish or a sweet, perhaps even a mixed drink or punch?

I made this bbq chicken in the crockpot last week and it was incredible. So I have this pot luck dinner I am going to tomorrow and I was thinking about using the same bbq recipe but with meatballs. I want them to be saucy enough though, so does anyone make really good meatballs in the crock pot this way?
