I moved up north and all the BBQ they have up here is full of smokey thick brown bbq sauce…I want to make some good pulled pork bbq(no heavy sauce), the kind you top with cole slaw and hot sauce. Either crock pot or oven or whatever, I’m open to anything as long as it tastes great!! =)

The best bbq sauce I’ve ever had has come from a bbq place in Champaign/Urbana IL called Lil’ Porgys BBQ whose motto is ‘incredibly good because we cook on wood.’ I need their recipe! I haven’t been able to find any really great sauce recipes that come close to theirs. It tastes like it might have something with apple in it. Anyone know what it is? Or have something that would come close?

uh oh… sorry for this lack of information. I’m planning to have a mix which mean there will be cubes of pork, shrimp, sweet green and red peppers and red onion. Oh… what best go together with cheese cubes? should I add some cube of brie or camembert?
